CALDERA IN THE MORNING WITH KING THIRA BOAT
ROUTE: Volcano – Hot Springs – Thirassia – Cruise below Oia
We go by bus to Athinios port where we board the boat King Thiras that will cruise to reach the lava island Nea Kameni. We will walk an ascending soil path to approach the crater of the still active Volcano. Then back to the boat and we cruise to the second lava islet called Palea Kameni where we find the Hot Springs. Here, you will have an opportunity to swim in the green sulphur waters. We then set sail for the island of Thirassia. There you can swim at the beach next to the port or you can visit the traditional village Manolas by the winding steps, either walking or riding a donkey. We stay for about two hours and then the boat will cruise along the caldera cliffs, so you will have the chance to take wonderful photos of the amazing cliffs.

ANCIENT THIRA BUS TOUR
The excursion begins in Kamari, it takes about 10 min. to reach the site. Ancient Thira is situated on a unique location at the top of Messa Vouno Mountain, which reaches a height of 356m. The excavations uncovered the ruins of ancient buildings, sanctuaries & temples, inscriptions & carved stones of archaic period and also the ancient theatre situated in excellent location with panoramic view to the Aegean Sea.

SUNSET IN OIA & TRADITIONAL VILLAGES
This tour will take you first to the oldest church of the island Panagia Episkopi, built during the rule of Emperor Alexios Komninos (11th century AD). Next, we visit Mesa Gonia, the ghost village, there you will be offered one tomato ball and one glass of wine and then drive to the village of Pyrgos. A traditional village with Cycladic architecture, Byzantine churches and a Venetian castle. On our way to Oia, we stop at the village of Imerovigli to enjoy the most wonderful view of the caldera. There we also find Skaros, a grand rock, the remnant of the most important castle. Our last stop is the breathtaking Oia village. Oia is famous for being the place of gathering artists, who are inspired by the beauty of the landscape and the magnificent purple sunsets.
